Philosophy
At the beginning, and even with this release, I considered the TUI client and the API to be a single, unified product. However, that will no longer be the case moving forward. The API may evolve and gain new features that the TUI client may not yet support.
Let me explain...
Emerging gameplay styles
Actually, I’m very happy because the niche I was targeting with Farental has turned out to be more resourceful than I could have imagined.
Terminal emulators on mobile devices, configuring API routes directly within apps to make HTTP requests, and so on.
I realize that this kind of thing fills me with joy and ties in with the idea I’ve had from the start… Play Farental however you like! And why not just use the features that interest you?
A simple app that just lets you see the current task and restart a specific activity once it’s finished? Tired of having to log back in after waiting a few hours to start a new activity? Program your own task manager to meet that need. Share it or keep it to yourself. The official TUI client make no exception to that.
Here, we love freedom and we don’t like being limited by invisible barriers that others have chosen for us. We love the raw experience, and Bruno/Postman and all the others are just game interfaces like any other!
Quote from the character known as Bogdan Heavymuscles.
Thank you for that. From the bottom of my heart.
The Forum
That’s why I decided to create the Farental forum. It’s a place where the community can exchange ideas and share informations, whether it’s purely about game mechanics or tips and advice. But above all, it’s a place to share tools and programs that let you play in as many ways as there are players in Farental.
I’m excited to see what we’ll be able to create together, just as much as I’m looking forward to providing you with an ever more comprehensive and complex playground.
Thank you all for being part of this wonderful adventure.
